My Blair Family

This section provides information on my family and my Blair ancestors who emigrated from Scotland to Vermont and New Hampshire.

My ancestry dates back to Stirlingshire Scotland, in the early 1700s. My earliest known Blair ancestor is Donald Blair born about 1700. The first of our Blairs to come to America was Donald's grandson, Robert Blair, who came to Vermont in 1785. His nephew Peter Blair, my gr-gr grandfather came to Vermont in the 1830s. We have found letters from Robert's father, John Blair, and other Blair family members in Scotland to Robert in Vermont, dated between 1786 and 1816.
